For their third video collaboration Yohji and Japanese photographer TAKAY show models in motion through a dark and punk atmosphere. A documentary of Yohji’s vision of today’s world.
The 23 minutes video is a journey of 33 looks accompanied by Yohji’s own voice and songs.
The AW21-22 collection unveils a 19th century inspiration in a dark punk Yohji’s spirit. Long and elegant fitted dresses, corsets, mixed with oversized deconstructed jackets and coats. Garments that volontary give the impression of being unfinished with white threads applied. Wires and chains jewelry embelish the silhouettes and announce a new Yohji Yamamoto accessory line coming soon.
Models walking quietly in a dark , stormy and poetic atmosphere. Yohji-san expresses his vision of our contemporary world in his own romantic and punk way. Through the collection, Yohji is questioning himself about «the future».
