WOMEN’S COLLECTION FALL/WINTER 2023/24 POWDER
Makeup is always an intimate and personal moment. So is the atmosphere that permeates this collection, and not just because Giorgio Armani once again invites his guests to the small theater in Via Borgonuovo 21. After crossing the threshold of the Milanese palaces, suggested by the elegant marble frame and the harmony of colors and spaces, the guests are welcomed into a domestic dimension evoked by the presence of sofa cushions. It feels like a living room, a place for dialogue and socialization, and the wardrobe that accompanies this idea of gentle domesticity is fluid and sublime.
The shapes follow the body and its movements: silky dresses reminiscent of pajamas, wraparound shawls, soft pants, sweaters, elongated jackets and long dresses, in an earthy, bronze and powdery cosmetic palette with hints of tangerine enhanced by an abundance of black Kohl. The stylized floral motif is recurrent, a synthesis of grace, delicacy and discretion. This interior story is accompanied by subtle plays of gloss and matte on the equally soft clothing and accessories, by way of the new La Prima model. Beaded bangs dance on the berets, almost resembling sparkly headdresses, adding allure and mystery. An enveloping and personal vision that suggests intimacy as an antidote to a moment of theatrical excess.
