ARTHUR ARBESSER FW 21-22

Fall 21 is a considered, tight but nevertheless very positive collection.

It started with a painter’s palette and a small felt Harlequin doll I recently bought at a Milanese flea market.

« We turned the palette into a photographic print and the doll led to rhombus patterns and patchwork pieces – that set the initial artsy and poetic tone for the upcoming collection ».

« Since I believe that now it is even more important then ever to only do very personal work and turn ideas into reality that you really care about, I also wanted to focus with this collection on British artist Joe Tilson – I’ve been a fan the second I discovered his work in a book as a student in the library at Saint Martins: the graphic patterns, his colorful pop-art fantasy with the references to ancient cultures and all the different materials he has been using – and on top his deep connection with Italy – made perfect sense to have as another starting point for Fall 21« , explains Arthur Arbesser.

The lookbook was shot at designer’s friend, the painter Roberto Coda Zabetta’s studio in Milan where the collection felt very much at home since their clothes have always resonated with the art world.
