Lebanese-American fashion designer Rami Kadi marks his 2nd couture fashion show during Paris Haute Couture Week by showcasing his couture Fall-Winter 2019-20 collection “The Temple Of Flora”.

For this collection, the designer took his inspiration from Taschen’s reprint of The Temple Of Flora, a box set portfolio of illustrations by Robert John Thornton. The prints had such an impression on him that the next step was thinking of a contemporary response to them. This response became the collection.

Spotted on the runway were Victoria’s secret angel Leomie Anderson, super models Rose Bertram and Farnoush Hamidian right before the Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana closes the show as Rami Kadi bride in a gown that took more than 1200 hours of craftsmanship.

The collection is a thorough exploration of the Flower in all incarnations possible. As such, it is an endeavor to emancipate it from its conventional associations with prettiness and delicacy, and to look into the possibilities of frivolity, mischief, and audacity that lie at the heart of the Flower; hence the amalgam of botanical shapes that the collection features.
