Last Thursday, the class of 2012 of the London College of Fashion wowed the audience during its famous annual show, which took place this year at Olympic venue Hackney House. The catwalk included over 90 models, 60 of them street cast through LCF’s model search, LCF LOVES, and was attended by Chairman of the British Fashion Council Harold Tillman CBE, fashion writer Colin McDowell, Daily Telegraph’s fashion Director Hillary Alexander, designers Lulu Guinness or William Tempest, but also singers VV Brown and Bebe.
The show was absolutely stunning, with no less than 25 amazingly creative collections. Winners of the night’s awards included:
– Ashleigh Downer from BA (Hons) Womenswear, for The Barnett Lawson Award for Best Use of Trimmings.
– Rose Irwin – BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear, Diana Auria Harris – BA (Hons) Fashion Contour and Lili Colley – BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery, for The Fashion Innovation award for best United Vision.
– Sebastiaan Pieter Groenen from BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring, for the biggest award of the night: Collection of the Year.
Guests were invited to continue the party at Factory 7, a neighbouring venue hosting the BA Design Exhibition, with spectacular mirrored installations showcasing footwear, accessories, jewellery and clothing.
