HONOR Fall 2012 Runway Film from HONOR on Vimeo.
Giovanna Randall’s Honor Fall/Winter 2012 Collection finds inspiration in the mixed masculine-feminine styling of a preppy boy studying abroad meeting an exotic South American woman. The collision of their two worlds results in a blend of classic silhouettes with vibrant color and pattern. From this collision, a strong sense of Art Deco emerges, further articulating the convergence of contrasting styles.
The result is a colourful display of mix-and-match flirty dresses, lace, knits, prints, and outerwear. Gold-framed leather and resin briefcases and clutches would pair well with anything really, but look amazing against the powerful vermillion, fuchsia, electric blue, and neon palette.
Kirsten Dunst, Alexa Chung, and Shailene Woodley took in the show from the front row of a packed Studio at the Lincoln Center. Many were loving the geometric and rose prints, highlights for us included the jumpsuits, high-rise trousers, neon-on-black skirts, sweaters, and dresses. Let’s not forget those briefcases.
