FALL 2018 COLLECTION
Santoni Edited by Marco Zanini Fall 2018 introduces once again a selection of staples; a fundamental wardrobe that encompasses timeless pieces that are never dated but represent iconic options that can be worn year after year.
The emphasis on the value and quality of the product are the mainstay of this collection comprising only a few important pieces in an ultimate expression of the Made In Italy.
Consistently with previous collections, the starting point is a thorough research and selection of materials, which are the main source of inspiration and essence of every single piece. Beautiful raw cut felted wool finished with three lines of stitching gives life to coats, jackets and military-inspired skirts; original and precious baby camel fur, cashmere, technical taffeta (100% polyester), Japanese wool gabardine, wool/alpaca jacquard with ocelot motif, double silk satin with a washed look, Shetland wool tartan, linen, Chiné printed French silk, double cashmere and vintage-looking baby camel. A mix of classic tones (navy blue, camel, tobacco, army green, faded black) compose the chromatic palette highlighted by more livelier colors of knitwear (yellow, blue, mustard and pumpkin orange). Knitwear accentuates its importance with mouliné and Milano rib and felted cashmere and carded Scottish Shetland wool. A relaxed look and attitude convey the easy wear ability and free combination of all piece for an entirely personal interpretation. Embodying an authentic Milanese attitude, the footwear selection features the same nonchalant spirit informing the new universe of Santoni Edited by Marco Zanini. Ultra-soft crocodile or suede pumps are embellished by a maxi pilgrim buckle; boots feature similar softness and are deconstructed and offered in the same colors. For men, camperos-inspired boots and dark forest green and mustard vegetable leather “work” lace-ups.
