French actress Sara Forestier wore a bespoke Balmain gown and bolero embellished with Swarovski upcycled crystals at the Césars ceremony this evening. This first time Balmain has partnered with Swarovski’s upcycling program, the gown features 1,150 upcycled Swarovski stones embroidered by hand, which took over 650 hours and 25 artisans to create. Sara Forestier was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the crime drama film Oh Mercy! (Roubaix, une lumière).

As part of its aim to drive positive change towards more responsible practices, Swarovski believes the fashion industry has an important role to play, using the spotlight of the red-carpet ceremonies to do good
