A champagne reception was held at the Four Seasons Restaurant in New York on Monday, October 15th 2012 to celebrate the launch of Acne Paper no 14 dedicated to Manhattan.
Acne Paper´s Editor in Chief and Creative Director Thomas Persson says: “This is the fisrt issue of Acne Paper devoted to a specific place. We could have chosen London, Paris, Berlin of any other city of cosmopolitan importance, but we took Manhattan, the oldest of New York City´s five boroughs and quite possibly the center of the universe. During our many visits to the Big Apple we have had the great fortune of befriending a number of wonderful people whi have not only taken a keen interest in our publication but who have helped shape it through our continuous creative rapport. By weaving together their rich knowledge and individual expertise with our curiosity and desire to learn more, we started to get a picture of Manhattan we hadn´t seen before, in the format of a magazine.”
Fitting to the Manhattan theme it will be the biggest issue of Acne Paper: 272 pages, a celebration of the many aspects that make up the cultural fabric of the great metropolis. Observed through photography, art, literature and journalism, the issue is a love letter to the city illuminating its fascinating history while reflecting upon key personalities and current events, exploring the artistic greatness of New York and America itself.
