Bora Aksu
Aksu was in a playful mood for spring / summer in contrast to his slightly more futuristic inspiration for last seasons collection.
The Turkish designed explored a new found obsession of bugs, ant’s actually to be specific after discovering a trail marching out of a crack in the wall.
The result is much less macabre than one would of first assumed.
Fun Ants themed hair clips adorned the messy buns of the models as the dresses channelled the 50s curvaceous bottoms , wasp waists and ultra feminine hips, in a typical Aksu fashion.
The look was matched with nude leggings with black spider webb prints and black ladylike mary-jane-esque low heeled shoes.
In other looks bug-like features such as strategically placed piping and frills on hips, shoulders and legs distorted the female shape and transform the models into queen bee like creatures.
A bold vision of spring that proved a lot more wearable than the usual we have come to expect from Bora Aksu.
