Entering a PPQ show feels a bit like attending a block buster movie premier
or the MTV awards starring a room full of Alexa Chungs and Peaches Geldof clones.
Design duo Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker certainly know how to
put on a show for the cameras with its star packed front row and seating arrangement
that takes a good hour.
One can not help but wonder each season what the clothes actually looked like.
This season saw PPQ champion their signature urban party girl dresses.
The duo steered slightly away from their usual updated retro patterns with a rock ‘n’ roll twist for a more muted
and dare I say it mature? collection.
Stand out pieces included a strapless black velvet number with gold trims that I am absolutely positive we will
see on London’s It girls falling out of a cab in the west end very shortly
The gold trimmings featured heavily in the collection with mixed very mixed result ranging from chic to over bearing.
In conclusion it was a fairly competitive collection, from a label that has spent the past decade going from
strength to strength.
